RATSHERRN Pils

RATSHERRN Pils

Pilsener Light, strongly hopped, botton-fermented beer. 4,9% VOL Bitterness Units 31 BE History Pilsner, named after the Bohemian town of Pilsen. The German master brewer Josef Groll created this special type of beer in 1842: a bottom-fermented lager with higher hop content. He was quite successful, and today, Pilsner is the most commonly brewed beer. Tasting Notes What we look for in our Ratsherrn Pilsner is a combination of elegant, light body and a pronounced sparkly crispness with—attention—floral notes. It has a pleasant bitterness. Food Pairing Neat or combined with sparkling wine or Campari, it is also an excellent aperitif. The light and hoppy beer matches up with a variety of dishes, such as pies, seafood or grilled fish. But also with a variety of cheeses, such as farmer's (curd), sheep's milk or sour milk cheese. "
